Last week CTC welcomed back former student Yuanyuan Sun who is currently studying Physics at Somerville College, Oxford University. She kindly returned to talk to students about life at Oxford, and explained what is required to get into one of the world’s top universities.

Many students in attendance are currently on the CTC Oxbridge/Medicine Programme, which assists students wishing to attend Oxford and Cambridge. The programme focuses on developing analytical and critical thinking skills, but also works to improve research skills, presentations skills and interview techniques.

The programme is led by; Mrs Sanderson (Head of Chemistry), Mrs Abeelack (Head of Upper Sixth), and Mr Søgaard (Vice Principal), who teach, guide and support the student’s aspirations through the programme. In addition to the guidance from CTC tutors, students will receive regular support from Mrs Simpson, our CTC Oxbridge Consultant.
