CTC London Students make it to the Young Enterprise Awards finals! Again!

Another year and another set of CTC London Students make it thought to the South London Finals of the Young Enterprise Awards. Ha Anh Nguyen (Hajni) and Zhetao Xu (Thomas) were part of a team who ranked 2nd in Croydon, earning themselves a place in the regional finals.

Hajni was kind enough to write us a few words outlining her experience!

“Participating in the Young Enterprise Awards scheme has been an enriching learning experience this academic year. Thomas (Zhetao Xu) and I had the opportunity to form a company with 12 students from 6 different Colleges and schools in and around the Croydon area including Croydon High School and Trinity.

The weekly meetings have enabled us to develop several transferable skills such as working in a team and problem solving. Our company, ‘CR0wn’ sells silver-plated jewellery and the target audience is mainly teenagers and women in the 40-55 year old age bracket. Among the five Young Enterprise companies in Croydon, we were awarded ‘The Best Presentation’ and the ‘The Best E-Business’ prizes.

Additionally, as the second most highly ranked company in Croydon, ‘CR0wn’ will have the honour of representing the borough in the South London Finals.
We would encourage all CTC students with an interest in Business, Management, Accounting or Economics to take part in this programme. It has been an incredible journey and we look forward to representing CTC in the South London finals in a week’s time.”
