Chenming Wang: CIFE Award for Sciences

Chenming achieved A star grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.   He is currently studying Natural Sciences at Cambridge. At CTC as well as his A levels Chenming found time to take the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge in 2017 and 2018 achieving the Gold Award the highest possible as well as the UKMT Senior Kangaroo achieving Merit Award again the highest possible.  In addition to his academic studies, Chenming was involved in the D of E and other college extracurricular activities.  He is an unassuming, highly intelligent, committed student and achieved a Gold Award in both Chemistry and Physics Olympiads whilst in Year 12, being ranked in the top 5% nationally.

Ha Anh Nguyen: CIFE Andrew Osmond Maths Award Winner

Ha Anh is studying Mathematics and Economics at LSE.  She achieved A star grades in Mathematics and Further Mathematics with A grades in Physics and Economics.  She only dropped 3 points from 600 in maths. Ha Anh exploited her impressive mathematical skills as Treasurer of our Student Committee. She was involved in every aspect of our extracurricular programme. Her interest in Economics extends far beyond just the classroom environment. For example, she has participated in the IFS student investor competition, Young Enterprise and has independently organised trips to the LSE debating series.

Roisin Spragg:  CIFE College Award

Roisin achieved very good grades in English Literature, History and Geography. She is currently studying Celtic Studies/English Literature at Glasgow.  She decided to refresh her knowledge of Irish as research for her EPQ on Celtic history and drew on a number of primary sources as she re-engaged with her own heritage. With a keen sense of humour and excellent social skills, Roisin played an active role in our History and Science Societies.  Roisin was prepared to throw herself into every activity available inspiring other students to get involved and will have a similar impact at Glasgow University.
