Results day at Cambridge Tutors College was once again a place of celebration after many outstanding individual achievements resulted in another strong set of A-Level grades for students. The top performer was Darrell Lee from Malaysia who attained 4 A* grades in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Further Maths and he will now study Civil Engineering at Imperial.

In total, 11 students achieved 3 A’s or above, with Seth Daood (Chemistry, Biology, Physics) and Peisen Wang (Chemistry, Economics and Mathematics) achieving straight A* grades. Seth has been offered a place at Imperial College London to study Biological Sciences, whilst Peisen’s educational journey will continue at UCL to study Economics.

Congratulations also go to Iurii Maksymets from Ukraine, who attained an outstanding 3 A* and 1 A grade in Computer Science (A*), Mathematics (A*), Physics (A*) and Further Maths (A).  (Computing at Imperial)

The Principal of CTC, Dr Chris Drew commented, “We are obviously delighted at the results – so many students have fulfilled their academic potential whilst with us. I would like to congratulate each student and wish him or her the best of luck as they look forward to their years at university. As over 80% of students come from overseas, their achievement is even more remarkable given English is not their first language.”

As a result of these impressive results, most students will now study at their first choice of university – including, LSE, UCL, Imperial and Warwick.

The International Independent Sixth Form College, boasting students from 25 different countries, are delighted with curriculum-wide successes in their highly-academic A-Level program. Students in Mathematics performed extremely well once again as 62% of grades were A*-A.
